The SLC on Tuesday revealed changes in the schedule for the women’s ODI tri-nation series between India, South Africa and Sri Lanka, due to local elections. According to the proposed schedule, the series matches on May 1, followed by matches on 4, 6 and 8 will be affected.. the revised schedule will see a shift in matches to May 2, 4, 7, 9.
One of Harmanpreet Kaur and CO. matches has also been rescheduled, to May 7, as the local elections are held in Colombo. “The change of schedule occurs owing to the local government elections, which take place on the 6th of May,” SLC said in a statement. Meanwhile the IND vs SA match was to take place at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium on May 6.
This would also serve as a big practice for all the three teams in contention, given that the Women’s ODI World Cup will be played in India from September. The tournament though would start on April 27 and end on May 11, and all the matches will be played at the RPICS only.

April 29: India vs South Africa
May 2: Sri Lanka vs South Africa
May 4: Sri Lanka vs India
May 7: India vs South Africa
May 9: Sri Lanka vs South Africa
May 11: Final.
