The 2026 Oscars are set to take place on Sunday, March 15, 2026.
The previous year's ceremony was held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday, March 2, 2025.

Who will host the 2026 Oscars?
Conan O'Brien is slated to host the 2026 Oscars after his stellar performance at the 2025 awards ceremony, in which he served as host for the first time.

"Conan's unique comedic style perfectly captured the moment, and I'm excited to have his talents back onstage next year to helm another indelible performance," Craig Erwich, the president of Disney Television Group, said in a statement via the Associated Press in March 2025.
O'Brien jokingly added in a statement of his own, "The only reason I’m hosting the Oscars next year is that I want to hear Adrien Brody finish his speech.”

The 2026 Oscars will likely be broadcast by ABC, along with streaming services; however, it is unclear as to which those are as of March 2025.
The 97th annual Academy Awards were broadcast on ABC and Hulu.
Who are the 2026 Oscar nominees?
The list of nominees for the 2026 Oscars have yet to be announced, and will likely be announced toward the latter part of 2025.
We still don't know exactly when the 2026 Oscar nominations will be announced, but it will likely be sometime in late January or early February of 2026 to give voters time to view the movies before the actual ceremony.
What movies are eligible to be nominated?
Every movie that was released in theaters between Jan. 1, 2025 and Dec. 31, 2025 is eligible. Movies that debut on streaming platforms are only eligible if they have a qualifying run in theaters as well.
