MORGANTON, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Officials in multiple counties are responding to an outside fire in Burke County despite the statewide and local burn ban.
Triple Community Fire Department in Morganton posted photos of a large fire off Old Amherst Road at Iron Lane.
Old Amherst Road is closed except for emergency personnel from Burke Smokey Creek Road.
No evacuation notice is in effect for the area at this time.
Agencies from Caldwell and Catawba counties are also responding.
