— Awful Announcing (@awfulannouncing) March 21, 2025The SEC has a target on its back this March Madness. The conference broke an NCAA Tournament record with 14 bids. With so many teams to make the Big Dance, there’s a feeling of pressure on one of the SEC teams to deliver a national championship.
Through the First Four and the first day of the Round of 64, it hasn’t been the best start for the SEC. Texas was bounced in the First Four on Wednesday night, falling to Xavier. Thursday was more of a mixed bag for the conference. No. 9 seed Georgia fell to 8-seed Gonzaga and 6-seed Mizzou lost by 10 points to 11-seed Drake. Auburn, Tennessee, Arkansas and Texas A&M, however, all picked up wins to advance to the second round.
We’ll see if SEC fans or haters get the last laugh at the end of March Madness.
