DENVER (KDVR) — A pedestrian suffered serious injuries following a crash with a Regional Transportation District train Monday morning.
At 7:48 a.m., the Denver Police Department posted on X that officers were investigating a crash involving the RTD train and a pedestrian at E. Smith Road and N. Monaco Street. The area is in the Northeast Park Hill neighborhood, about a mile away from the Central Park station.
Police said the pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Due to the investigation, Monaco Street is closed in both directions at Smith Road. Alternate routes are advised.
The circumstances that led to the crash are still under investigation.
