Firefighters battled a structure fire that broke out in an apartment kitchen in the Midway area on Thursday.
Units were dispatched at 7 a.m. Thursday and arrived a few minutes later to 3899 Midway Dr. near the intersection of W. Point Loma Blvd., according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
There were 28 personnel assigned to the fire, including four engines, two trucks and one medic, officials said. There is smoke damage to the apartment and minor water damage to the apartment below the initial residence, according to Onscene.Media.
No evacuations or injuries were immediately reported.
