Sometimes the video tells the whole story, and that was absolutely the case with this epic Michigan State buzzer beater to take down Maryland.
After an outstanding Big Ten showdown in College Park, #8 Michigan State and #16 Maryland were tied 55-55 with under 5 seconds remaining in the second half. Ja’Kobi Gillespie tried winning it for the Terps with a long three-point attempt from the wing that wouldn’t go.
The Spartans came up with the board, Tre Holloman got the ball and began to push it up the court. With time about to expire, Holloman launched a shot from in between the opposing free-throw line and half-court, and it hit NOTHING BUT NET! Michigan State pulls it off 58-55 on the road against the Terps.
