WOODLAND — An arrest was made in connection to the fatal shooting of a teen that happened just days before Christmas outside a Woodland home, authorities said Tuesday.
Isaac Montoya, 19, died at UC Davis Medical Center after he was shot on Baird Court and Powers Circle just before 4 p.m. on December 22, 2024.
Woodland police said the months-long investigation has resulted in the arrest of Miguel Garcia Duran, 20, who was taken into custody by investigators serving a search warrant at a home on Powers Circle early Tuesday morning.

The day after the shooting, Woodland police said Montoya had gone to Baird Court to meet with the suspect, who shot the teen and left the area.
