This year, thanks to the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene and growing softness in state revenue forecasts after years of regressive tax cuts, that work comes with some extra challenges.
Recently, in order to get a gauge on where things stand, NC Newsline caught up with Senate Democratic Whip Jay Chaudhuri of Wake County.
