Duck Dynasty stars Willie and Jase Robertson have an unfortunate health update to share for their mom, Kay Robertson.
The brothers revealed on the latest episode of their podcast, Duck Call Room, that the family matriarch, 77, required a trip to the emergency room to treat a "substantial injury" obtained in a recent, "severe" fall.
Unfortunately, according to Jase, "she falls a lot" these days, and this one caused "a very graphic" cut on her leg. "It was a horror show. It was severe," he recalled, explaining that he was about to speak at an event when it happened and received a photo of the injury from one of her caretakers.

"I was fixing to get up on stage and I see this picture of my mom, I was like, 'Oh man.' I was like, 'Get her to the hospital. I gotta speak,'" he said.
All things considered, Kay's doing "pretty well," getting right back onto her feet with the help of a walker after receiving her stitches.
Unfortunately, she isn't the only one of their parents "struggling" with declining health.
Her husband, Phil, 78, who suffers from Alzheimer's and a blood disorder, also just underwent the sixth procedure on his back in about a year, and, "Mentally, neither one of them are where they once were."
The brothers have become the unofficial charges for their parents as they've aged, also opening up about playing good cop (Jase), bad cop (Willie) with them as they try to "get two people who struggle with thinking rationally" to resolve conflict or accomplish a task that they don't want to do.
Excitingly for fans, the brothers and much of the rest of the family are set to return to television with a Duck Dynasty revival.
