LANCASTER, Ohio (WCMH) — The Lancaster Police Department is investigating a body found floating in the Hocking River on Saturday afternoon.
Police said they received a 911 call just after 2:00 P.M. about a body floating in the water near the 400 block of West Sixth Avenue. When police and the fire department arrived, they confirmed that a man was dead in the river. Police have not yet released the identity of the man.
The Lancaster Police Detective Bureau and Fairfield County Coroner's Office are investigating and say an update will be provided at a later time.
