Two earthquakes in the same area shook Malibu on Friday night and Saturday morning.
The first was a magnitude 3.7 at 11:44 p.m. Friday; the second was a magnitude 3.5 at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, the U.S Geological Survey reported.
The quakes were centered about 7 miles west-northwest of Malibu and 9 miles south-southwest of Thousand Oaks.
The first temblor created light shaking from San Clemente to Oxnard and as far inland as Riverside. The second one was felt in a smaller area from Santa Paula in Ventura County to Long Beach.
No injuries or damage were immediately reported.
