DENVER (KDVR) — A major winter storm will continue in the mountains through Saturday and a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day is issued as the Denver weather forecast does feature a chance to see light snow Saturday afternoon with minor accumulations possible.
Snow totals will be highest in the mountains.
Weather today: Very light snow
Snow will continue off and on through Saturday. Temperatures will be much colder Saturday with highs only in the 30s. A chance for light snow will also come which may result in a trace to 1" of accumulation, especially to the north and east of Denver.
Weather tonight: Skies clear
Isolated snow showers are possible in very light fashion, although most will be dry. Lows will drop into the middle teens as the clouds slowly but surely clear out. Winds will be out of the northeast anywhere from 5-15 mph.
Looking ahead: Up-and-down temperatures
Sunday will be dry with mostly sunny skies in the afternoon. Temperatures will rebound to the upper 30s and lower 40s. Snow may return late Monday and continue into Tuesday, however, any accumulations would be on the low end.
It will fall back into the 20s Tuesday and Wednesday with overnight lows in the single digits and teens. The second half of next week looks quieter but still chilly, with highs in the 30s and 40s heading into next weekend.
