Calibash has updated its lineup for the rescheduled Latin music event.
Xavi, Wisin, and Alex Sensation will still perform, but they’ll now be joined by Puerto Rican rappers Myke Towers and Eladio Carrión and Mexican artists Santa Fe Klan and Codiciado. The new artists will replace Maluma, Manuel Turizo, Kapo, and Emilia, who were initially scheduled to perform on the original lineup but have since dropped off.
Calibash will take place on Friday, March 7 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Tickets start at $82 at axs.com. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date.
The event presented by SBS Los Angeles, Mega 96.3FM and 97.9FM La Raza was initially scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 18, at Crypto.com Arena but was postponed due to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.
“The devastation our Los Angeles community has suffered resonates deeply with all of us at Mega 96.3FM,” the radio station announced in a Jan. 14 Instagram post. “This decision has not been easy, but we recognize the need to focus on the well-being of our community during these difficult times. Stay safe.”
Calibash is the biggest Latin music concert, usually held at the beginning of every year in Los Angeles. It showcases several prominent and up-and-coming performers.
Towers will surely boast some of his latest work, which will include music from “Lyke Miike,” his 23-song trap and rap album released on Christmas Eve. The album kicks off with a Carrión collaboration, “Qué Quieres De Mi?” so fans can perhaps anticipate some shared stage time between the two.
Among the standout performers slated this year is the Mexican-American singer Xavi, who debuted his first album, “Next,” in October. The album features his viral hits “La Diabla” and “La Víctima.” Wisin, known as the other half of the Puerto Rican reggaeton and rap duo Wisin y Yandel, will likely perform some of his new music too off his recent solo album “Mr. W.”
