SAN JOSE — The San Jose Sharks recalled center Andrew Poturalski from the San Jose Barracuda prior to their game against the Montreal Canadiens at SAP Center on Tuesday night.
Poturalski, 31, is the American Hockey League’s leading scorer with 41 points in 45 games with the Barracuda this season. He and goalie Yaroslav Askarov represented the Barracuda in the AHL All-Star Classic on Sunday and Monday in Palm Desert.
Poturalski could slide in as the Sharks’ second-line center Tuesday night against the Canadiens, as San Jose plays its first game since trading Mikael Granlund and Cody Ceci to the Dallas Stars on Sunday. Poturalski, now in his 10th professional season, has two assists in six career NHL games. His last NHL game was on Nov. 30, 2023, with the Seattle Kraken. As a free agent in July, he signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Sharks.
The Sharks, who have five players on injured reserve right now, also recalled forward Collin Graf and defenseman Shakir Mukhamadullin from the Barracuda on Monday.
