No one at Iowa will ever wear the No. 22 again thanks to Caitlin Clark.
On Sunday, Iowa invited Caitlin back to Carver-Hawkeye Arena to celebrate her legendary career and see her jersey hung in the rafters. It was a magical day for Caitlin and many others in the building, like former head coach Lisa Bluder, teammates Kate Martin and Gabby Marshall and former talk show host David Letterman.
Not only did Caitlin’s jersey get retired, but Iowa stunned No. 4-ranked USC with a 76-69 victory. Lucy Olsen and company were cooking as JuJu Watkins and the Trojans never recovered from a dreadful 18-4 start. Pretty sweet, right?
