DENVER (KDVR) — The Denver weather forecast features a break from winter and a brief taste of spring as temperatures climb well into the 60s over the next several days.
The Pinpoint Weather team is also tracking breezy conditions into the new week. There is a High Wind Warning in effect that starts today and lasts through early tomorrow morning. This includes areas in the west metro including Lakewood, Arvada, Golden and Boulder. Winds will be sustained from 30-45 mph with gusts up to 75 mph possible. Locally there could be stronger gusts.
Weather today: Partly cloudy skies
Clouds won’t be as numerous on Sunday and that should help temperatures climb into the upper 50s and low 60s across the northeast, with southeast Colorado possibly seeing temperatures near 70 degrees.
Weather tonight: Sunnier and warmer
Partly cloudy skies and dry conditions stick around overnight. Look for lows to drop into the upper 30s and lower 40s with winds out of the southwest anywhere from 5-15 mph.
Looking ahead: A February thaw
The first week of the new month looks quite pleasant. Temperatures will stay in the 60s through Wednesday. However, Colorado will have occasionally breezy conditions through Tuesday. Either way, expect a good deal of sunshine to start next week.
Temperatures will cool by Thursday as clouds increase. There were initially some signs of a chance for some light precipitation, but the extended forecast now looks largely dry.
Cooler weather appears likely starting next weekend.
