An 81-year-old man who was reported missing after last being seen in Poway, prompting the issuance of a Silver Alert, has been found, authorities announced today.
Tony Hoang had last been seen at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday near Espola Road and Martincoit Road, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.
Hoang has since been located, but no details were provided about when or where he was found as is customary in missing persons cases.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
