The Greeley Police Department has not filed any charges against the drivers involved in a two-vehicle collision that killed a juvenile on Saturday.
At 11 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a traffic collision at Weld County Road 47 and East 8th Street, according to a Greeley police news release issued Thursday afternoon.
On arrival, police found a 24-year-old driver of a Ford SUV pulled in front of a semi-truck, which caused the semi to hit the passenger side of the SUV. The SUV’s passenger, a 16-year-old, died at the scene, the release said.
Police reported the driver of the SUV was taken to a hospital with injuries. The collision did not result in any injuries for the semi’s driver.
The investigation remains ongoing.
