Minnesota Timberwolves coach Chris Finch was ejected after receiving his second technical foul during Wednesday’s game against the Phoenix Suns.
The coach had a conversation with official CJ Washington, who tossed the coach with 5:07 left in the third quarter in the back-and-forth game. It is the first career ejection for Finch.
After Finch was ejected, Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards ran over to Finch to try and deescalate the situation. Micah Nori, Minnesota’s lead assistant, assumed head coaching duties for the rest of the contest.
Well then, CJ Washington gives Chris Finch his second tech, Finch gets tossed, and then explodes at Washington.
For the second-straight game at Footprint Center, Micah Nori takes over as the stand-in Head Coach.
