SAN JOSE — A pedestrian died in a car collision on a residential street near Coyote Creek early Wednesday, police said.

The location is about a block east of Stonegate Park and the northwestern end of the Los Lagos Golf Course.
Police did not immediately release additional details about the death Wednesday. The collision marks the third roadway death of the year in San Jose, and the third to involve a pedestrian who died.
