(KRON) – A group of juveniles were cited after stealing a vehicle early Saturday morning, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.
At around 3:30 a.m., a Pleasanton resident called the authorities to inform them that a group of masked suspects were attempting to steal a car, according to police. The resident told police the incident occurred near Hopyard Road and Secretariat Drive.
With a prompt response, officers were about to locate the suspects. Police said they also discovered evidence related to another stolen vehicle from Pleasanton.
According to Pleasanton PD, all of the suspects were minors who were cited and released to their parents.
The department thanked the community member who informed officers of the car theft.
