Burts Ridges Hand Cooked Guinness Crisps hit the shelves today, January 26 at £1.35 a 150g sharing bag.

Guinness lovers can pick either the original flavour or with chilli for that extra kick.

The supermarket pledges this “unique blend of roasted barley and hops” makes for an “un-beer-lievably tasty snack”.

With England set to play Ireland on February 1, this snack could prove a popular match-day treat.

The supermarket said: “Aldi shoppers will have the luck of the Irish on 26th January as the supermarket is launching Burts Ridges Hand Cooked Guinness Crisps (£1.35, 150g) ahead of the Six Nations starting on Friday 31st January.”

However, shoppers must be quick as Aldi special buys are limited edition and only available while stocks last.

In a Facebook post, Burts encouraged fans to “tuck into some perfect chips with yer perfect pint”.

Fans jumped to the comment section to share their thoughts on the snack.

One person said: “I loved the Guinness & Chilli flavour!”

While a second said: “Just purchased a pack of Salted from Aldi Australia – delicious! Knocks spots off the locally produced stuff.

“Would love to try the Guinness ones….”

And then a third commented: “Love these!!”

Other fans offered their honest opinions of the chilli flavour.

One person said: “Love the Guinness ones but really don’t like the Guinness & chilli. Far to much paprika, it overpowers the flavour.”

Another person shared this view and said: ” I didn’t like Guinness with chilli. I don’t think the balance was quite right x”
