Dave Coulier has had some "tough days" since being diagnosed with cancer last fall, but he's determined to "power through."
The actor's wife, Melissa Coulier, opened up about his ongoing battle with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma in an interview with ABC affiliate WXYZ Detroit earlier this week.

"He has some really tough days, and as the chemo has been accumulating it gets a little tougher and more difficult," she said on Wednesday.
But he's not letting the rough side effects of treatment keep him down, as Melissa described him as still having "such a positive attitude."
"I think it’s just innately in him. He has had a lot of loss in his life when it comes to having to deal with cancer. He lost his mother, his sister, his niece. His other sister had it," she explained. "I think for him, he takes every stride and really pulls strength from seeing the women that were so close in his life to powering through it, and he just wants to honor them."
"And you need that [positivite attitude] in order to really fight it," she added.
Another necessary tool is a support system, and according to the Full House star's wife of 10 years, his friends and family are "really rallying around" the 65-year-old.

"Every morning, if he’s feeling up for it, we try to put on a song and do a little dance party with the dogs, because when you do feel good, you have to celebrate that too," Melissa told the outlet.
Coulier previously described his health battle as "kind of a roller coaster ride," noting his body is "in fight or flight mode" as he adjusts to various treatments and their side effects.
“The side effects have side effects, and then you take a drug to counteract that, and this and that," he explained during a Jan. 10 episode of his Full House Rewind podcast."It’s a little bit of an internal battle."
