Ariana Grande is having a "pinch me" moment.
While celebrating her first-ever Oscar nomination for her role in the hit movie musical Wicked, the singer and actress shared a childhood photo of "tiny ari" to prove that dreams really do come true.

In an emotional Instagram post shared after this year's Oscar nominations were announced on Thursday, Jan. 23, the "thank u, next" songstress flashed back to the childhood days she spent dressing up as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz.
The little girl in the photo had no idea she would grow up to star as Glinda one day or be nominated for an Academy Award.
Grande, 31, is up for an award in the supporting actress category, alongside Isabella Rossellini (Conclave), Zoe Saldaña (Emilia Pérez), Felicity Jones (The Brutalist) and Monica Barbaro (A Complete Unknown.)
"Picking my head up in between sobs to say thank you so much to @theacademy for this unfathomable recognition," Grande wrote in her caption. "I cannot stop crying, to no one’s surprise. i’m humbled and deeply honored to be in such brilliant company and sharing this with tiny ari who sat and studied Judy Garland singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow just before the big, beautiful bubble entered."
"I’m so proud of you, tiny," she added.

Elsewhere in her post, Grande also gave a shout out to the film's director, Jon M. Chu, as well as her co-star, Cynthia Erivo, who was nominated in the lead actress category for her role as Elphaba.
"I don’t quite have all my words yet, i’m still trying to breathe. but thank you. oh my goodness, thank you. Universal, Marc, my family, my heart," Grande continued, before concluding with, "Lemons and melons and pears, oh my. ?."
The 97th Academy Awards ceremony will air on Sunday, March 2.
