Ohio State’s 34-23 victory over Notre Dame in the College Football Playoff National Championship officially concluded the 2024 season. The final AP Poll was released on Tuesday, with Clemson finishing No. 14 after a solid 10-4 campaign.
The Tigers made their first College Football Playoff appearance since 2020 and captured the ACC Championship with a dramatic 34-31 win over SMU. Interestingly, SMU ended the year ranked two spots higher at No. 12, fueling debate among fans. Clemson led the way for the ACC in the poll, with Miami (No. 18) and Syracuse (No. 20) also finishing in the top 25. In-state rival South Carolina came in just behind the Tigers at No. 19.
Clemson’s season reflected progress, highlighted by its ACC title and improved field performances. While still striving to return to championship contention, the Tigers have momentum heading into 2025 as they look to build on this year’s success.
