NILES — Richard Franklin Granville, 81, passed away Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.
Born June 16, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of the late Edmund Joseph and Dorothy Matchett Granville.
On Nov. 24, 2019, he married Ruth E. Feniza Granville. Richard retired from Kraftmaid in Middlefield after working there for over 13 years. Richard found joy in hunting, fishing, watching his John Wayne movies and traveling to the Philippines. Most of all, he enjoyed the company of his family, friends and his dog, Ranger.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth E. Granville of Niles; daughter, Katrina D. and son-in-law, Dewayne Musgrave of Williamsfield; grandson, Austin Musgrave of Williamsfield; sister-in-law, Linda Shoemaker of Salisbury, Pa.; nephew, Scott Tanner of South Carolina; and his son, Joe Granville of Pennsylvania.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Bonner; brother, Edmund Granville; and the mother of Katrina, Katharina Mai Shelpman.
Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., immediately followed by a funeral service Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman OH 44428. Burial will follow in West Williamsfield Cemetery, Stanhope Kelloggsville Road, Williamsfield, OH 44093.
