Firefighters were called Saturday to an open space rescue off Sorrento Valley Boulevard and an accident on Interstate 5.
Units were dispatched around 10:40 a.m. to 5664 Greenshade Road, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. A total of 29 personnel were assigned to the scene, including two engines, two trucks and one medic, officials said.
Other crews were dispatched at around noon to the I-5 northbound on-ramp near National Avenue. A total of 21 personnel responded, including two engines, two medics and one truck.
