Benefit concert for Southern California fire victims will take place at the Intuit Dome on Jan. 30

A benefit concert to help victims of the widespread Southern California wildfires will be held at the Intuit Dome on Jan. 30, organizers announced Friday, Jan. 10.

Performers and other details still are being arranged. The FireAid Benefit Concert for California Fire Victims is the first large-scale fundraiser announced to help those who have suffered devastating losses this week in wildfires from Pacific Palisades to Altadena and other Southern California communities.

The event, described as “an evening of music and solidarity, is intended to raise funds aimed at “rebuilding communities devastated by wildfires and supporting efforts to prevent future fire disasters throughout Southern California,” according to a news release from its organizers.

Proceeds will toward a new nonprofit that will work on rebuilding infrastructure, support families displaced by the fires, and advance fire prevention technologies and tactics to prepare for future fire emergencies.

The benefit is produced by Irving and Shelli Azoff and their family. Irving Azoff, a longtime power in the music industry, manages artists such as the Eagles, Gwen Stefani, Harry Styles, Christina Aguilera and John Mayer through The Azoff Company, which also has a consultancy agreement with the Madison Square Garden Company that includes the Kia Forum in Inglewood.
