First Best of the Week of 2025 arrives, for Jan. 11-17

It feels like nothing has happened since last year, but fear not. The Best of the Week is back for 2025.

This week, Jan. 11-17, features a winter car show, plenty of live music, some coloring, a murder mystery dinner and wrestling.

    As more events start popping up around the area as we get into the new year, the Best of the Week is your source to know what’s happening in the area.

    Saturday

    A classic car show is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the University High School parking lot, 6525 W. 18th St., Greeley. There will be food and other vendors, too. The show benefits the Evans Fire Protection District.

    A Dance Place Presents Frozen 2: The Ballet at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the Union Colony Civic Center, 701 10th Ave., Greeley. The show has all your favorite characters in this reimagined telling of the beloved story. It’s a one-day showing. Tickets can be purchased at ucstars.com or by calling the UCCC ticket office at 970-356-5000.

    Murder at the Masquerade: A Murder Mystery Dinner Theater starts at 7 p.m. at the Moxi Theater, 802 9th St., Greeley. A killer wasn’t on the guest list for the Billionaires’ Club Annual Masquerade Ball, but somehow one found their way in and it’s up to the guests to figure out the killer’s identity. Tickets are $43 and can be purchased at moxitheater.com.

    Brett Haney is performing from 7-10 p.m. at Bruce’s Bar, 123 1st St., Severance.

    Sunday

    The Sugar Britches perform at 4 p.m. at The Forge Publick House, 255 Old Firehouse Alley, Fort Collins.

    Monday

    Color and Chill: adult coloring club is from 4-6 p.m. at the LINC Library, 501 8th Ave., Greeley. This relaxing time allows adults to color a variety of coloring books. All supplies are provided for this free event.

    Tuesday

    The Limitless Friendship Club meets from 6-8 p.m. in the Christ Community Church Community Room, 1305 15th St., Greeley. The club is for families of special needs adults where families can get respite care while their adult children enjoy themselves.     Wednesday

    An on-site job fair is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Employment Services of Weld County building, 315 N. 11th Ave. Building B., Greeley. The event will be open to veterans searching for a job from 10-10:30 a.m. The fair is open to the public from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The fair will have tips on writing resumes and other skills needed for a job interview. Dress to impress and bring your resume.

    Thursday

    Roaming Readers Walking Club is from 1-2 p.m. at the Riverside Library and Cultural Center, 3700 Golden St., Evans. Each walker receives a map of the library’s walking path, a pair of earbuds and a monthly list of recommended e-audiobooks to take in while walking the path.

    Friday, Jan. 18

    The University of Northern Colorado wrestling team hosts North Dakota State at 6 p.m. at Bank of Colorado Arena on the UNC campus, 270 Alles Drive, Greeley. Tickets can be purchased at tinyurl.com/2beevfcm.
