Gina Kirschenheiter has been open about her life’s ups and downs for years as one of the main cast members on the popular Bravo series Real Housewives of Orange County.
From dealing with infidelity in her marriage to going through a divorce and navigating single parenthood, Kirschenheiter has given the audience a look into some of the most difficult moments of the last six years of her life.

But perhaps the hardest struggle she shared on the reality show happened after she was stopped for a suspected traffic violation in January 2019 by California police and subsequently arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
Kirschenheiter later pled guilty to one misdemeanor, and along with being sentenced to 20 hours of community service and completion of an alcohol program, she was placed under informal probation for three years for her DUI.
The reality star detailed her subsequent journey on the show, choosing to become sober in the process. Now, on the eve of celebrating her third anniversary of sobriety, Kirschenheiter is marking the occasion on social media and encouraging others to follow in her path.

In a video shared on Instagram on Dec. 29 captioned “If you’re thinking about it…do it… #itsamazing on this side ❤️,” Kirschenheiter showed a series of photos of herself from before and after her sobriety journey.
“January marks three 3 years for me not drinking,” read text at the start of the video. “People are always asking what I did to look so good,” it continued before she explained that she doesn’t “talk about it much but as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.”
Kirschenheiter then seemingly dedicated the video to others who may be interested in going sober, writing that “2025 seems like a great time to effect positive change ❤️.”
Fans were supportive in the comments, writing, “You’re amazing. It’s nice to see a HW who is changing for the better” and “? you set a great example, Gina! You rock this, and your inner beauty just shines!”
