DENVER (KDVR) — High wind and mountain snow are impacting holiday travel plans across the high country on Monday morning.
A Pinpoint Weather Alert Day was issued for Monday due to mountain snow and high winds across the Front Range and Eastern Plains. There are high wind, avalanche, winter storm and red flag warnings, as well as winter weather advisories until 5 p.m.
While the winds should slow by Monday night and Denver should warm up by Tuesday, there have already been several road closures and backed-up traffic, as well as flight delays and cancellations at the Denver International Airport.
