The Arizona Cardinals elevated running back Michael Carter and safety Andre Chachere from the practice squad ahead of Saturday’s Week 17 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, the team announced.
This is the second straight week Carter has been elevated. He rushed for 18 yards and caught five passes for 30 yards in Week 16 against Carolina.
Running backs James Conner and Trey Benson were listed as questionable on the team’s injury report, while Emari Demercado was placed on injured reserve on Dec. 14.
However, Conner is expected to play Saturday against the Rams, according to The MMQB’s Albert Breer.
Chachere, who’s played in just one game for the Cardinals this season, will take on the role of backing up Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, who is starting in place of Joey Blount (ruled out with a rib injury).
The Cardinals are looking to play spoiler to the NFC West-hopeful Rams. Listen to play-by-play of Cardinals-Rams at 6:10 p.m. Saturday on 98.7, Arizona Sports.com and the Arizona Sports app.
