GASTONIA, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) - An investigation is underway on Christmas Eve day in Gastonia after a 16-year-old girl was tragically shot and killed, Gastonia Police said Tuesday afternoon.
Officers responded to calls regarding the incident around 11 a.m. near 800 Barkley Street. A 16-year-old girl was found suffering from gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on scene.
There is no mention of arrests at this time and we'll have more details as they come into the newsroom.
