Idalia 56, Briggsdale 29 at the Idalia tournament: The host Wolves jumped out to a big lead in the first half, and cruised to a win over the Falcons. Briggsdale is 2-3 this season.
Frontier Academy 50, Swallows Charter Academy 47 at Rye tournament: The Wolverines improved to 5-3 this season with a close win over Swallows Charter.
Valor Christian 58, Windsor 47 at Cherry Creek’s Bruin Classic: The Eagles won their fourth straight game, snapping the Wizards’ three game winning streak in a tournament classic win. Cole Scherer scored 26 points for Valor, 4-1. Windsor is 6-3.
Berthoud 74, Greeley Central 54 at Berthoud: Greeley Central dropped to 0-2 in the 5A/4A Longs Peak League and 1-4 overall after a road loss to the Spartans. Berthoud is 1-2 in the league and 2-6 overall.
Valley 69, Wellington 63 in Gilcrest: Wellington scored 27 points in the fourth quarter, but the rally came up a bit short in a nonleague loss at Valley. Valley won its first game of the season (1-6). Wellington is 0-8.
Niwot 58, Greeley West 48 in Greeley: Niwot improved to 4-5 this season, while the host Spartans dropped to 1-5 after a nonconference game.
Girls basketball
Resurrection Christian 53, Stargate School 9 in Loveland: The host Cougars outscored Stargate 34-0 in the first quarter and 45-7 in the first half. Nine players scored for Resurrection Christian (5-0), led by Olivia Klein’s 13 points.
Briggsdale 39, Idalia 33 at Idalia tournament: Briggsdale improved to 4-1 this season with a win over the host Wolves.
Berthoud 59, Greeley Central 44 in Berthoud: The Spartans remained undefeated (9-0) with a 5A/4A Longs Peak League win over the Wildcats. Greeley Central is 2-3.
Niwot 60, Greeley West 46 in Greeley: The Cougars improved to 7-1 this season with their fifth straight win. Greeley West is 2-4.
