This past weekend’s NCAA games closed the books on the schedule for college hockey before the holidays. Some players won’t return to their college teams immediately after the break because of the World Junior Championship, but the next time a Blackhawks college prospect hits the ice will be when Providence faces Northeastern on Dec. 28.

The good news: there’s a lot of good to report.
The Blackhawks appear to have some very good players in the pipeline. And many of them are putting up strong numbers at the mid-point of their college seasons.
Here are a few notes about how the Blackhawks’ prospect pipeline stacks up in the college ranks as they hit the holiday break.
