Units were dispatched just after noon Saturday to 4136 35th St., less than a block from Edison Elementary School, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. Crews arrived on the scene by 12:05 and had wrapped up roughly two hours later. A total of 33 personnel were assigned to the fire, including five engines, two trucks and one medic, officials said.
