STATESVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – As Giving Tuesday comes around for its 11th year, some nonprofit organization leaders hope donors will use their dollars to support local charities. Iredell COAST in Statesville is searching for last-minute sponsors for its Community Christmas program. Families can sign up their children and submit a short wish list. Community members choose one or multiple children to sponsor and buy the gifts. The outreach group then collects and distributes the presents during an event with live music, free dinner, and a visit from Santa Claus.
