NILES — The talents of local organizations and groups are being showcased this month at the annual Festival of Trees at the National McKinley Birthplace Museum in downtown Niles. The free festival features 40 trees that will be displayed 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays to Fridays through Dec. 27, and noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 14 during the McKinley Christmas celebration, which allows people to stop at different locations in the city. Belinda Weiss, director of the National McKinley Birthplace Museum, said this is the third year she has coordinated the festival. “A lot of groups that participated in the past two years came back this year,” Weiss said. “I also had some new groups this year.
