The amount in damages is expected to be amended, as a recent appraisal valued the land at $80 million. The lawsuit was filed in federal district court on November 15. The Port of Texas, which is a limited partnership, purchased the property in 2022. That property has been used for bulk storage and as a gas pipeline hub since 1927.
