Organizations partner to give away more than 100 turkeys ahead of Thanksgiving ...Middle East

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Dozens of families will have a turkey on their tables this Thanksgiving thanks to some local organizations. Many of us will sit down for Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday with our families and have plenty of food to eat. For some, Tuesday night's meal here at the Southview Recreation Center in Charlotte will be the only one they have. "It's really a need and it's a need to be fed because a lot of people are hungry," said Sarah Alford, who came to the senior dinner. To fill that need in southwest Charlotte, the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office, Lucky Spot Barbershop and Cops & Barbers came together to host a Thanksgiving feast for seniors.
