CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, Charlotte Douglas International Airport workers are on strike over what they call 'poverty wages' and 'unfair labor practices' as of 5 a.m. on Monday, November 25. Workers started to vote on Friday, Nov. 22, on whether to strike. The airport service workers are employed by American Airlines contractors, ABM and Prospect. “We’re on strike today because this is our last resort. We can’t keep living like this. We’re taking action because our families can’t survive,” an ABM cabin cleaner Priscilla Hoyle said.
