Calaveras County, CA – While traveling along Highway 4 in Calaveras County, a familiar sign has been noticeably absent for the past few years. It is the sign welcoming travelers to the Stanislaus National Forest. It was replaced at the beginning of this month thanks to a partnership between the Calaveras Ranger District Recreation Team, Resource Management Staff, and Mule Deer Foundation. “We’re proud to share that our sign is back up and looking better than ever!” boasted forest officials.
