Hopland invites residents to first FireWise community meeting
The Hopland Fire Protection District, Mendocino County Fire Safe Council (MCFSC) and the UC Hopland Research and Extension Center (HREC) are offering a community meeting on Sunday to support Hopland residents in creating FireWise communities. FireWise is a national accreditation program, focusing on supporting communities to protect homes and neighborhoods from wildfire. The meeting will be a chance to bring Hopland communities together and plan for fire preparedness. The first planning meeting will take place on Sunday, Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Hopland Fire Protection District, 21 Feliz Creek Road, Hopland.
