SPECIAL EFFECTS: The McKinley Memorial Library will host “Flash Pots & Pepper’s Ghost: A History of Theatrical Special Effects” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Al McKinnon will speak on the history of special effects in theater. Registration is needed by calling 330-652-1704, ext. 3. BLOOMFIELD EVENT: North Bloomfield Historical Society will present its annual fall harvest dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the township hall. Ham and fried chicken will be provided, along with plates and utensils. Admission is free with a contribution of a salad or vegetable dish.
