Oman’s SEZAD signs agreement for $163mn fishing harbour in Duqm
The Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD) has signed an agreement with an alliance led by Fisheries Development Oman to develop and operate a multipurpose fishing harbour that will cost $163 million in Duqm. In a statement, it was also announced that FDO, an affiliate of Oman Investment Authority (OIA), also inked a land development agreement (usufruct) with Al Wusta Fisheries Industries LLC. The 10-metre-deep port will be setup over an area of 8 sqkm. It is expected to be fully functional by the end of the first quarter of 2021. The project will be ideally situated in the vicinity of a food industries zone occupying an area of 7sqkm and has been designed to meet the basic needs of investmen
