The USAID’s Mission Director in Egypt Sean Jones announced Sunday that millions of US dollars have been pumped into the cultural tourism sector in Egypt, alongside the restoration and development of many archaeological sites in Alexandria, Luxor, Aswan and others across the country. This came during the opening ceremony of the Bimaristan Hospital al-Muayyad Sheikh in Souq al-Silah area in Cairo, which is currently being developed within the Integrated Management of Cultural Tourism (IMCT) project in cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the USAID.
