Zamorano replaces Dave Gendernalik who resigned this offseason after spending one season with the program. “I’m incredibly blessed and grateful to have been offered the opportunity to lead this historic program,” Zamorano said. “The support from Amanda and the rest of the athletics department has been incredible and I’m excited to be able to contribute to the vision of what this athletics department is trying to do.” Zamorano most recently spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Division I Texas Christian University
