Two Bay Area men were seriously injured Monday while reportedly trying to steal marijuana from a property in Covelo, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office reported. According to the MCSO, deputies responded to the 24000 block of Shady Lane when residents there reported around 3:15 p.m. July 22 that they had “interrupted multiple subjects stealing marijuana, who subsequently fled the location in a red pickup and a U-Haul box truck.” While personnel from multiple law enforcement agencies responded to assist – including the California Highway Patrol, Cal Fire Prevention Officers, California State Parks and Round Valley Tribal Police – the caller reported to MCSO dispatch “that a U-Haul box truc
