A missing Oakland woman who survived two nights alone in the woods was found Thursday afternoon by Search and Rescue volunteers, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office reported. According to the MCSO, it was notified Tuesday around 4:45 p.m. that Elizabeth Schenk, 70, who was visiting the area from Oakland, went missing after going for a walk on a nearby logging road. The person who reported Schenk missing said he “received a call from Schenk at approximately 9:30 a.m. May 21” stating that she was lost.
